Senior moves at listed car dealer

CAR dealer Lookers, owner of the Taggarts dealership has promoted Nigel McMinn to chief operating officer and appointed Allan Rushforth as managing director.
In addition, Robin Gregson will now become chief financial officer. All appointments are with immediate effect.
London-listed Lookers said that after a period of growth, the appointments are designed to strengthen the company’s senior team to reflect the increased scale of operations. 
Since joining the business in 2013, Mr McMinn is said to have made a substantial contribution to the in terms of developing the key strategic focus areas of people, technology and brand, whilst strengthening key manufacturer and supplier relationships.
Mr Rushforth will report to Mr McMinn and have the franchise director team as his direct reports, with a clear focus on delivering outstanding operational performance on customer, brand partner and financial metrics.
Andy Bruce, Lookers’ chief executive officer, said: “Nigel's promotion is richly deserved and recognises his pivotal position in the progress we have made. I am also delighted that Allan is joining our team."

Buccleuch Property lands Finnie

BUCCLEUCH Property has appointed Neil Finnie as an associate director. His role will focus on new business development and key strategic projects across the UK.
He moves to the Edinburgh-based property investment group from Miller Developments where he built up a track record in office, industrial and retail development and investment projects throughout the UK. 
During this time, he delivered the £45 million regeneration of the Walnuts Shopping Centre in Orpington to create a 65,000sq ft mixed use leisure development. He also delivered the 40,000sq ft GDF Suez office in Aberdeen. This office was voted BCO Corporate Workplace of the Year 2015.
Prior to Miller Developments, Neil worked at JLL where his client portfolio included RBS, Legal and General, Threadneedle and CBRE.
David Peck, managing director of Buccleuch Property, said: “Neil will play an integral role in helping to deliver a number of high profile projects and assist with the continued growth of our development activities across the UK over the next five years.”

Constructing change at developer

NEIL McKay has been appointed as managing director of specialist regeneration company Urban Union.
Mr McKay brings 30 years’ construction industry experience as a chartered quantity surveyor with expertise in developing major building and civil engineering projects in the UK and the Middle East.
Urban Union was formed 2011 as a partnership between McTaggart Construction and Robertson Group Holdings.
Mr McKay will now lead the company as it continues to deliver ongoing large-scale regeneration projects across Scotland, including developments currently underway at Laurieston in Glasgow, Pennywell in Edinburgh and Muirton in Perth.
Gary Climson of McTaggart Construction said: "This is a great opportunity for Neil to further develop Urban Union and lead the business into this next stage of growth.”
