SCARTH ALWYN. Peacefully, at Ferndale Care Home, Britannia Road, Morley, Leeds, on Tuesday, 25th April 2017, Alwyn Scarth, B.A., M.A., Ph.D., (Cantab), aged 80 years, formerly of Rossie Avenue, Broughty Ferry, Dundee, and Hembrigg Gardens, Morley, Leeds. Retired Lecturer in Geography at the University of Dundee, and Author, son of the late Kenneth and Phyllis Scarth, dear brother of Barrie, Marie, Kevin, and Margaret, brother-in-law of Sandra, Bruce, Margaret and Geoff, uncle and great-uncle, and esteemed and dearly loved friend of many. At his request, Alwyn's remains have been donated to Medical Research.
