FORBES ALEXANDER MACDONALD. Born Airdrie 1935, died peacefully, after a long battle with illness, on 16th May 2017 in Glasgow. He is survived by his son James and daughters Samantha and Victoria. His funeral will be held at the Linn Crematorium, St Mungo Chapel, at 4pm, Thursday, 25th May. All who knew him are welcome. Enquiries via Co-op Funeralcare, Giffnock.

Worked with Alex (csc), he took me under his wing, certainly didn't have too. Never could figure Alex out, how he could smoke a cigarette, the ash being as long as the cigarette. At the end of our work relationship, I did ask him something, he had all convinced (cons/guards/managem
ent) that he was crazy. I did ask him, was it real, or a game? He just smiled, told me all I needed to know. I used that tactic thru my career I'm retired now, but will never forget Alex, Or to me Mr Forbes. Just want you kids to know, he touched other lives. I am so sorry for your loss, Alex will always be missed. Sincerely, with condolences, Lisa.
