A man with the courage to go for the uneasy option

Jason Reitman enjoys directing films that make people feel uncomfortable.

But it's not always as easy to pull off as he makes it look. In Thank You For Smoking, his main protagonist was a tobacco spokesman desperate to remain a role model for his son, while in Juno he tackled a 16-year-old teenage girl who decides to give up her baby for adoption, and Up In The Air followed the fortunes of a man who laid people off for a living at the height of the economic downturn.
