The Possibilities Are Endless (12A)
This documentary charts former Orange Juice frontman Edwyn Collins's battle to recover from a cerebral haemorrhage, focusing on the support of his wife and manager Grace Maxwell. The couple share narration duties, as directors James Hall and Edward Lovelace open with a long, largely abstract and disturbing sequence that evokes the singer's sensations and fears during the immediate aftermath, when he was effectively trapped inside his head, before embarking on a more traditional account of his long road "back to normality".
