Glasgow Film Theatre is to publish a free e-book called For All featuring new writing from Janice Galloway, Ewan Morrison and other writers, animators and musicians.

Funded by Creative Scotland's Promoting Equalities Programme (PEP), and published by Ringwood Publishing, the book is the end product of GFT's 'For All' project, which began in 2013.

The project's aim was to explore equalities and access within GFT.

Ten writers were commissioned to produce new work inspired by what the notion of 'for all' meant to them. T

he writers are Janice Galloway, Bernard MacLaverty (pictured), Ewan Morrison, Tawona Sithole, Robin Yassin-Kassab, Eleanor Thom, Matthew Fitt, Nalini Paul, Cathy MacPhail, and Alison Irvine.

The e-book will be available to download on the GFT website at www.glasgowfilm.org/forall, and at ringwoodpublishing.com/for-all/

For the first time, Southbank Centre's cross arts festival, Alchemy, will be launched in Glasgow.

Featuring music, dance and literature, Alchemy Glasgow will explore the cultural connections between the UK, India and Pakistan.

Alchemy Glasgow will run between 21 and 24 May and will celebrate contemporary, classical, folk and traditional styles and is a partnership between Celtic Connections and Southbank Centre, in association with the British Council and Creative Scotland.
