Film's writer

to appear at

screenings

GIVEN that Herald film reviewer Alison Rowat described it as a "charmer of a drama", the opportunity to see the recent Scottish-Cuban indie comedy-drama Day of the Flowers on the big screen should be grabbed with enthusiasm. The film is being screened at Glasgow's GFT on Tuesday May 6 and the MacRobert Centre in Stirling the following night with the added bonus of a personal appearance of the film's Glasgwegian writer Eirene Houston at both. After the film Houston, who in the past has written for EastEnders and legal drama This Life, will discuss her love of Cuba and independent cinema with the Herald's own Teddy Jamieson. If you go to Stirling there may even be some salsa dancing.
