Never Let Me Go, 10.25pm, Channel 4

Premiere. Alex Garland (The Beach, 28 Days Later) adapts Kazuo Ishiguro's novel, and the result - bathed in the drab greys and browns of an alternative England where life expectancy stretches beyond 100 - is a low-key dystopian science-fiction story that owes more to The Handmaid's Tale and Logan's Run than anything in the Star Wars style. Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley and Andrew Garfield are the beautiful young things who form a love triangle while attending a boarding school that is not all it appears to be.
