It isn't easy to construct an offbeat comedy around the death of a spouse but director David Foenkinos manages it relatively well, building on his own bestselling novel and adding Audrey Tatou to the mix as the surviving wife, Nathalie. The story turns on her gradual return to life and love, the second coming in the form of dorky colleague Markus (Francois Damiens).
