Our verdict: three stars

The Roache-Turner brothers waste no time in getting down to zombie brass tacks in this comedy-horror.

And why not? With so many of the walking dead strolling around in movies these days, everyone pretty much knows the rules of the genre, so why not crack on with the bloodletting and slo-mo stumbling?

Where the siblings make their mark is in the comedy of the piece, and the setting, both of which are Australian born and bred.

Irreverence is the name of the game here as brother and sister Barry and Brooke (Jay Gallagher and Bianca Bradey) try to become reunited while a zombie apocalypse rages round them and a loco scientist is on the hunt for fresh specimens.

Went down well with the FrightFest crowd, who had previously enjoyed a couple of sneak peeks at Howl, the new horror from Paul Hyett (The Descent).

It's either a lost Golden Retriever or they're in trouble. Find out later in the year when the film is released.
