Director Gerard Johnson pulled together an impressive line-up of screen hardmen for this slick 2014 crime thriller, chief among them Boardwalk Empire's Stephen Graham, and Ben Wheatley favourites Neil Maskell and Peter Ferdinando. Ferdinando plays a corrupt and drug-addled London cop forced to play a new game with new rules when Albanian gangsters mount a takeover of the city's criminal underworld. The film opened the 2014 Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Difret (12A)

Affecting Ethiopian drama, based on a true story, about a 14-year-old girl who kills the man who abducts her with the intention of forcing her into marriage. The resulting legal case was a landmark for women's rights in the country. A hit at the Sundance and Berlin film festivals, Difret was executive produced by Angelina Jolie who introduces this DVD version.

Still Alice (12)

The lead role in this film adaptation of Lisa Genova's novel about a 50something female linguistics professor diagnosed with Alzheimer's had Oscar winner written all over it. And so it turned out for actress Julianne Moore. Alex Baldwin, Kristen Stewart and Kate Bosworth also star.
