The series that started HBO's rise to the top of the television drama pile comes to Blu-ray in a massive 28-disc set priced at a whopping £93. A must-have for Sopranos completists, it contains all six seasons and includes among its extras a feature-length interview with creator David Chase, audio commentaries by sometime director Steve Buscemi, two round-table "dinners" with cast members, lost scenes and a new documentary about the series and its influence featuring an interview with the late James Gandolfini.

Walerian Borowczyk: Short Films And Animation (18)

Once described as "a genius who also happened to be a pornographer", iconoclastic Polish director Borowczyk also made a series of short films throughout his career. This collection from Arrow Films, introduced by Borowczyk fan Terry Gilliam, gathers the work made between 1959 and 1984 and includes The Astronauts, a collaboration with the great Chris Marker. Released separately is Goto, from 1968, a fantasy/sci-fi allegory about totalitarianism which was banned both in Poland and Franco's Spain.
