Twelve pupils from Holy Rood High School in Edinburgh became Herald Young Critics on Sunday by sitting through six hours of theatre at the Royal Lyceum and then giving their verdicts. The best review, by Eilidh MacDonald, appears in The Herald's arts page on Tuesday.
Eilidh MacDonald 4 stars The air was warm, the smell of incense enveloped the audience and streams of indigo, gold, hot pink and tangerine flew across the stage as we settled down for the six hours of spells, oaths and lies that was One Thousand and One Nights.
