Now a new campaign has been launched to preserve and promote the work of George Wyllie, the Glasgow-born artist and “renaissance man”, who turns 90 next year.
He is one of Scotland’s most idiosyncratic artists, a writer and sculptor who gave the nation the Paper Boat, the Straw Locomotive, and the clock running for a bus in Glasgow city centre.
