It is around a decade since Anna Meredith first came to the attention of The Herald when the young composer had a piece played by the BBC Philharmonic at Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, conducted by James MacMillan.
From South Queensferry and now 32, Meredith is a little dismayed that her recent work schedule has kept her away from hearing anything at this year’s Edinburgh International Festival, but she is in Glasgow tonight, to perform some of her newest music herself at the CCA.
