Celtic Connections; Pur: The Lassies’ Reply, City Halls, Glasgow
Shona Donaldson and Katie Mackenzie, collectively known as Pur, received an Album of the Year nomination at the Scots Trad Music Awards 2009 for The Lassies Reply, a collection of Burns songs sung in Scots and Gaelic designed to show that the two languages can sit well together.
