A peek at Jura's secret jewel

Like the whisky produced at the distillery that dominates the island capital, Craighouse, Jura Music Festival has matured at its own pace.

Joan Moran, one of the co-founders of the event, can date its beginnings precisely to her visit to the first Celtic Connections in Glasgow. She returned home to the island filled with evangelical zeal that Jura would have its own traditional music event.
