Edinburgh's Playtime jazz session returns to the Outhouse in Broughton Street Lane this Thursday with a rare opportunity to see F.W.

Murnau's classic silent 1926 chiller, Faust, accompanied by guitarist Graeme Stephen's original soundtrack. Stephen, who has made composing new soundtracks to black and white films a specialism and recently issued two of them (Sunrise and Nosferatu) on a double CD, is joined by saxophonist Martin Kershaw, bassist Mario Caribe and drummer Tom Bancroft. The screening begins at 8pm.
