Scottish singer-songwriter Siobhan Wilson launches a new EP at the Glad Café in Glasgow tonight [Wed 24].
Previously known as Ella The Bird, Wilson studied classical music and composition in Edinburgh and Paris before emerging on the indie-folk scene, playing slots at Celtic Connections and the Wickerman, Belladrum and Cambridge Folk festivals and having her All Dressed Up track downloaded more than fifty thousand times on the Pop Cop website. Recorded and mixed in Glasgow, her new EP features seven original songs and includes contributions from Aidan O'Rourke, of Lau, and Gordon Skene, of Frightened Rabbit. The show starts at 7.30pm

PrimaVoce is a new opera company formed by soprano Christina Dunwoodie and designer Annette Gillies, created with the aim of producing affordable shows boasting the highest production values. The pair originally collaborated on Opera on a Shoestring's award-winning Tosca at the Citizens for Mayfest and the new partnership has already staged Torch Song Divas at Websters Theatre in Glasgow's West End. With a full production of a new version of Verdi's La Traviata scheduled for 2016, the next PrimaVoce show is on Saturday July 4 at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Love Hurts sees Dunwoodie joined by mezzo Clare Shearer, tenor Ralph Strehle and baritone Julian Tovey, with Gordon Cree at the piano.

Young London-based jazz singer Ben Cox, pictured, has announced Scottish dates for his band in September as he continues to promote his recently released debut album, This Waiting Game. The album was produced by fellow jazz singer, pianist and in-demand master of ceremonies Ian Shaw and features guest appearances by singer and radio presenter Claire Martin and Cox's colleague in a capella jazz vocal group Vive, Emily Dankworth. Cox plays Lyth Arts Centre in Caithness on Monday, September 28 and Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline on Tuesday, September 29.

Internationally regarded fingerpicking guitar stylist, singer and songwriter Adrian Nation plays the only Scottish concert on his latest UK tour at Benderloch Victory Hall, near Oban, on Friday, June 26. A former builder, Nation was inspired to become a professional musician after seeing the late guitarist Isaac Guillory performing at an arts centre near his Essex home. He plays the Argyll venue before flying to Canada for concerts.
