l A new exhibition has opened at Recoat, Glasgow's gallery of street art in North Woodside Road. Bricks & Sticks & Mortar marks the first time internationally exhibited artist Erms and Eko have shown together, although they share a background in the UK graffiti scene and have known each other for many years. These works on paper are styled "a duel exhibition", which runs to December 2, and the pair will also be creating murals at the gallery and collaborating on a limited-edition print and publication.

l Hands Up For Trad, the organisation that has done much to raise the profile of traditional music in Scotland in recent years, has instigated a monthly award to recognise other achievers in the cultural sector. l Watercolours have replaced water coolers in a three-floor office space at 116 George Street, Edinburgh in a pop-up gallery created by Edinburgh College of Art students at the invitation of real-estate company Mapeley. From today until Thursday November 15, the empty building will be filled by work from students in Intermedia Art, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and MA (Hons) Fine Art. Mapeley is also sponsoring a £1000 prize that will be go to the best work, as judged by a panel from ECA and the company.
