l Daniel's Beard is to begin its residence at the Sound Festival in north-east Scotland this week.

Alongside school workshops on Edward Lear's nonsense poems, family concerts in Portsoy, Strathdon and Mintlaw featuring settings of Jabberwocky, The Owl and the Pussycat and The Quangle-Wangle's Hat, the group will also give the world premiere of P is for Riot in a concert at Migvie Church. It is inspired by the events in Moscow that led to the imprisonment of two of the members of the pop band Pussy Riot. The concert at Migvie Church, Tarland, is at 3pm on Saturday.
