l Edwyn Collins, who received an Outstanding Contribution to Music Award at this year's AIM Awards, has announced details of tour dates for April 2013.

The former Orange Juice singer will play the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen on April 15, Strathpeffer Pavilion on April 17 and the O2 ABC in Glasgow on April 18. Tickets for all dates, including English venues such as the Union Chapel in London (April 24), go on sale at 9am today. Collins recently began work on a film about his life and music, entitled In Your Voice, In Your Head.

l Acoustic Routes, the 1993 Bafta-nominated documentary about Scottish folk musician Bert Jansch, will receive a UK-wide cinema release on March 1, following the DVD release of a digitally remastered and expanded edition. Presented by Billy Connolly, the film charts Edinburgh-born Jansch's recording career and influence on guitarists as varied as Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Noel Gallagher and Johnny Marr.
