PERTH'S new Sunday afternoon season of piano recitals, which has proved a popular time with patrons of the city's Concert Hall, begins again in February and has a programme of six concerts through to June.

Next month sees the return of Richard Goode, who will be playing Schubert, Chopin and Debussy, before the first of two visits by the piano duo of Simon Crawford-Phillips and Philip Moore.

Their February 16 programme includes Schubert's Grand Duo and Alban Berg's arrangement of Schoenberg's Chamber Symphony, and the May 18 one culminates in the two-piano version of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. Llyr Williams is the March attraction, local lad Alasdair Beatson appears in April, and Denis Koshukhin rounds things off in June.
