Glasgow-based guitarist Ben MacDonald is launching a jazz night at the Glad Café on the city's south side on Tuesday.

Aimed at presenting established musicians alongside up-and-coming local talent, the monthly presentations will showcase two acts, each performing a full set of original compositions. The opening night features MacDonald's own quintet, including Adam Jackson (alto saxophone), Tom Gibbs (piano,) and the New Focus Duo.
