Tickets sell out in record time for Belladrum
THE Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, which runs on August 8 and 9 at Beauly, Inverness-shire, has sold out all its weekend and Saturday tickets for the sixth year running in record time, five months ahead of the event taking place.
The festival, which is in its 11th year, has a 16,500 capacity, a figure that usually includes a large number of children under the age of 12, who can attend free of charge.
Tom Jones is to headline the Friday of the festival while the Saturday night features Razorlight.
Frightened Rabbit will return to the event as very special guests and also playing are Billy Bragg, The Temperance Movement, and Adrian Emondson & The Bad Shepherds.

Veteran wins comedy award
THE comedian Arnold Brown has been awarded the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award at the Scottish Comedy Awards.
The ex-accountant is a UK alternative comedy scene veteran. He won the Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Festival in 1987 and once supported Frank Sinatra at Ibrox. Event organiser Alan Anderson said: "There was no-one else who would have deserved to win the first ever Lifetime Achievement Scottish Comedy Award more than Arnold. "
The awards were nominated for and voted on by Scots comedians. Gary Little won best headliner award and best newcomer was Jellybean Martinez.

Radio 1 show hosts give-away
TICKETS to BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend Live from Glasgow Green were given out in half an hour yesterday. A total of 50,000 tickets were released at 8am during The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw, when they were given away in pairs, with 25,000 available for each day of the two-day event, which takes place on May 24 and 25.
The full line-up will be announced in April with Pharrell Williams, The 1975, Rita Ora and Paolo Nutini already added to the line-up for the two day event.
Half of tickets were reserved for those living within the area covered by Glasgow City Council; 45% were reserved for those residents in the rest of Scotland; with the remaining 5% for other audiences across the UK.

Rolls-Royce is going on show
THE world's second oldest Rolls-Royce car will go on display at Riverside Museum today.
Built in 1905 it is the only survivor of six three-cylinder cars made by Henry Royce as he was forging his partnership with Charles S.Rolls.
It has been loaned to Glasgow Museums by the owners, the Trustees of the Royal Scottish Automobile Club for an initial three-year period.
