Mississippi Delta singer-songwriter Bronwynne Brent, who makes her UK debut at Celtic Connections at The Tron Theatre, Glasgow on January 31, ended 2014 with her latest album, Stardust, in the influential Roots Music Report chart's top ten listings.
The chart is compiled from returns sent in by U.S. radio stations coast-to-coast and shows that Brent is among the most-played artists on roots music programmes in America. BBC Radio 2 presenter Bob Harris is one of Brent's biggest admirers and has taken advantage of her Celtic Connections visit to invite the singer's trio to London to record a session for his weekly show before they return to the U.S.
