The Jazz Bar may have to consider giving its piano a more prominent position.
At the moment, the grand sits at the back of the stage to accommodate big bands and the myriad formulations that fill the venue's busy programme. Not for the first time recently, however, what was happening behind the band was at the forefront of listeners' attention.
