Kronos Quartet, Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery

Moved from the original outdoor venue – Riverside Museum – due to the inclement weather, the Kronos Quartet's performance of Terry Riley's Sun Rings was not diminished by its switch to the grand surroundings of the Kelvingrove's main hall.

Part of the London 2012 festival celebrations, Riley's musical epic took the audience on a voyage to the stars, while NASA's astonishing, hypnotic images of deep space, solar explosions and planets provided a remarkable visual background for the one-off performance.
