There were times during this performance when you wondered whether the first half of Maverick Sabre's name was meant in an ironic way.
For all that the 22-year-old is known for mixing up various genres, his early songs were prosaic beyond belief, to the extent that when he mentioned he was drinking tea onstage it seemed entirely fitting.
