Patti Smith Group, O2 ABC, Glasgow

This is a story which begins with the best opening line in rock.

"Jesus died for somebody's sins – but not mine" embraces the concept of faith while defiantly rejecting its constrictions. This is a story which encompasses youth, rebellion, family, death, mourning and, ultimately, a glorious rebirth. Patti Smith takes in the rapturous welcome and embarks on a two-hour set of reclamation, provocation and, most of all, transformation.
