l The Ensemble's Aberdeen residency runs until Friday, with performances in care homes and community centres today, a shopping centre flash mob and Shostakovich Undressed burlesque show tomorrow, and a closing concert and ceilidh on Friday.

l The Perth residency runs from June 9-12 and includes a Tea Dance (June 9); coaching sessions, care home performances and a lunchtime concert at Perth Concert Hall (June 10); high-school workshops and pop-up performances at Perth Theatre (June 11), and a closing concert at Perth Concert Hall (June 12).

l In Shetland at the end of next month the Ensemble reunites with fiddler Chris Stout and harpist Catriona McKay to perform the concerto written for them by Sally Beamish – a double concerto called Seavaigers (August 3); also during the Shetland residency there's a screening of Murnau's 1926 expressionist silent film Faust with soundtrack provided by DJ Alex Smoke on July 31, events and performances around the islands on August 1 and a tea dance on August 2.
