Finance chiefs’ summit seeks cure for global economic ills

World finance leaders gather at St Andrews today as the G20 group look at how to get out of the recession and activists take the opportunity to argue environmental and development issues.

Chancellor Alistair Darling will play host to his counterparts from around the world at a time when most of them will be concerned about the impact of the global recession on jobs in the developed world.
