In the third of our new series, Danny McLoughlin tell us about his Fringe show and what's on his rider.

Tell us about your Fringe show

Its called Danny McLoughlin feels alright. It's about how I've grown up with everyone telling me how awesome my dad was and sort of feeling inferior, comparing his life growing up to where mine was growing up/is now, but at the same time realising that sometimes, instead of worrying about who's better, it's more important being content with yourself, despite knowing you're probably only average at something. You can feel alright about only being alright.

Best thing about the Fringe?

Getting to see all my comedian friends who are just walking round and visible at every turn.

Worst thing about the Fringe?

Only ever having contact with comedians.

How many years have you been coming to the Fringe?

It's my second year doing a solo show, fourth year overall.

Favourite Fringe venue?

I really like the spiegel tent, in there it really feels like a festival.

Best Fringe memory?

Racing BMXs through the Meadows at 6am.

Best heckle?

"We saw you fall off your bike."

Craziest on stage experience?

I saw a crowd member set fire to himself trying to upstage an act.

What's on your rider?

Flapjacks, grape soda and a fire blanket.

How do you wind down after a show?

I try and go and cook my own food. It's too easy to eat rubbish post show.

What do you love about Scotland?

Irn bru in half litre cans and all of the shortbread.

What do you like about Edinburgh?

I love the feeling you get that wherever you go, something cool has happened there in the past.

What's the most Scottish thing you've done?

Wanted Andy Murray to win.

What kind of jokes do a Scottish crowd seem to respond to?

Funny ones, just like everyone else.

Favourite joke?

The one with the duck.
