Four Screws Loose speak to HeraldScotland about wigs, the weather and whiskey.

Tell us about your Fringe show

Our show is bigger, better and crazier than ever before! Get ready to be dazzled by song, dance, sketch and a multitude of wigs!

Best thing about the Fringe?

The atmosphere. You can't go anywhere without being hit in the face with a big metaphorical wall of Fringe.

Worst thing about the Fringe?

The weather. Isn't it supposed to be summer?

How many years have you been coming to the Fringe?

This is our 5th consecutive year at the fringe. We love it more and more every year.

Favourite Fringe venue?

Has to be the Bosco Tent in Assembly George Square Gardens. It has been our venue for the last 3 years. We love it very much, like a home away from home.

Best Fringe memory?

Getting our first 5* review during our first ever year doing the PBH Free Fringe.

Best heckle?

We're always screaming far too loud to hear any heckles. We prefer it that way...

Craziest on stage experience?

Watching Thom's dad come on stage dressed as our fairy godmother... Terrifying stuff!

What's on your rider?

Haha we don't deserve a rider!

How do you wind down after a show?

Beer, cider, rum, whiskey, in that order.

What do you love about Scotland?

The people. They're such colourful and crazy characters. We love the Scots!

What do you like about Edinburgh?

The place is steeped in history. Walking down a street where you know people used to be hanged is a crazy experience.

What's the most Scottish thing you've done?

We had battered Mars Bars the other day. We couldn't handle one each, we had to share.

What kind of jokes do a Scottish crowd seem to respond to?

The funny ones usually.

Favourite joke?

What do you call a cheese that isn't your cheese?

Nacho cheese!!! (Thank Thom for that!)
