Scottish wrestler Grado will be one of the stars of Insane Championship Wrestling which comes to the SECC later this year.

The wrestling star who became a household name after he was barred from using Madonna's Like a Prayer as his 'walk on' music will be at annual spectacular Fear and Loathing on Sunday, November 15.

Grado said: "I've had a lot of support from my fans and this has led to great opportunities. I canny wait to hear over 5,000 people chanting 'It's Yersel' in the SECC. It's going to be mental."

This marks the latest step in the Glasgow promotion's expansion, growing from humble beginnings in a small community hall in Maryhill to selling out shows across the UK, including Glasgow's legendary Barrowland Ballroom.

After months of speculation over the location of the organisation's flagship event, ICW promoter Mark Dallas promises fans "a phenomenon like no other" with plans already underway to make this the biggest event in European wrestling history.

Mark said: "This show is easily our biggest challenge to date, but it's time to push our boundaries even further and prove that ICW is not only the top promotion in the UK, but that it belongs on the world stage.

"A lot of people doubted this company in the beginning, but thanks to the incredibly hard work from everyone in our team, from in ring talent, to behind the scenes, and the die-hard support of our fans, we have overcome every obstacle put in front of us. I am very excited about this next step in our evolution and can't wait to let everyone see what we have in store when we take over the SECC in November."

ICW has become a cult-phenomenon in Scotland, rising to mainstream popularity with the incredible success of their Insane Fight Club and Insane Fight Club II documentary series, garnering over two million viewers on the BBC.

The company is currently in the middle of their second UK-wide tour, with limited tickets still available for their events in Liverpool, Nottingham, London, Birmingham and Sheffield.

Tickets for ICW: Fear and Loathing 8 will go on pre-sale at 9am on Monday, March 30, available exclusively though the SECC mailing list.

General tickets go on sale at 9am on Wednesday, April 1 from www.TripleGMusic.com, www.TicketMaster.co.uk and www.SECC.co.uk.
