Smash hit musical The Bodyguard to make Scottish debut

Smash hit musical The Bodyguard will make its Scottish debut next year.

The show, which is based on a book by Alex Dinelaris which inspired the Oscar nominated 1992 film, will premiere at the King's Theatre in Glasgow on Wednesday, March 4 2015.

It opened in the Adelphi Theater in London's West End in December 2012 and has received four Laurence Oliver Awards.

The show tells the story of a former Secret Service agent who becomes a bodyguard and falls in love with the person he's been hired to protect. It includes a classic songs such as One Moment in Time and I will Always Love you.

James Haworth, General Manager at the Kings Theater, said:"We are thrilled to announce that once again the King's Theatre will be hosing a Scottish Premiere. The Bodyguard is one of the most treasured love stories of all time and we're proud to be able to give Glasgow audiences the opportunity to experience this sensational West End production on their doorstep."
