My dad [Tom Conti] had started to get a lot of work so we were travelling a fair bit. We lived in New York for a while and I was very into swimming. A couple of years ago we found an old film of me when I was seven, bouncing out of the front door holding a monkey puppet. It was part of a video collection which belongs to my aunt. It was freaky to see. You would have thought it was doctored because it is so similar to me and Monkey [Conti's on-stage puppet companion] now. I have no recollection of that puppet.
