Young love, told straight from the heart

When Jess Thorpe and Tashi Gore were thinking through house rules for Junction 25 – the youth performance company that originated at Glasgow's Tramway in late 2005 – one tenet was a given from the start.

No matter what topic the young performers explored and what was devised during workshops, they would never put words into anyone’s mouth. The material would be created, and owned, by the 12 to 17-year-olds who would put it on-stage. It was a question of trust, and that trust has produced some of the freshest, strikingly frank and original work in Scotland.
