Empire, E4, 9pm

Billed as "the black Dynasty" by its creator Lee Daniels, director of Oscar-winning film Precious, E4's hip-hop drama has been a huge hit in the US. It follows the lives of drug dealer-turned-rap mogul Lucious Lyon (Terence Howard), a man whose empire starts to crumble when he's diagnosed with motor neurone disease, and the three sons from whom he has to pick a successor. Among those appearing as themselves are rapper Snoop Dogg and 1970s soul star Gladys Knight, while Naomi Campbell and Courtney Love are just two of the real-life celebrities with cameo roles. In tonight's third episode, the Lyon family travel to Philadelphia for a funeral and Lucious's fun-loving son Hakeem finds himself a new ladyfriend.

Live UEFA Champions League, STV, 7.30pm

It's a big night for Bayern Munich's Catalan manager Pep Guardiola as the newly-crowned Bundesliga champions line up against the club Guardiola both played for and managed. Two years ago at the same stage the Germans put four goals past Barca for none in reply on their way to winning the Champions League. Can they do the same again in the second leg of this mouth-watering semi-final match-up at the Allianz Arena and rescue the tie? Or, with 100 goals between them, will Barcelona's world-class South American trio of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi prove too much for the injury-hit Germans, as they did in the first leg? In the studio with presenter Mark Pougatch are Roy Keane, Paul Scholes and Lee Dixon. The commentator is Clive Tyldesley.
