Funding snapped up

The National Galleries of Scotland has announced that The Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation has made a major donation to the new photography gallery in the recently refurbished Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh. The foundation is giving a total of £190,000 and the gallery will now be called The Robert Mapplethorpe Photography Gallery in honour of the photographer. Exhibitions planned include a display of the work of Czech photographer, Jitka Hanzlova (October 17, 2012 to February 3, 2013).
