Paper chase

Paper, an exhibition by artist Joanna Caskie, opens at An Tobar on the Isle of Mull on July 30. The show features Caskie's paper sculptures, which are inspired by natural forms and landscapes.

Eastern promise

Tickets are now on sale for the National Youth Orchestra of Iraq (NYOI) summer concerts in Glasgow and Edinburgh. The NYOI has teamed up with soloists Julian Lloyd Webber and Khyam Allami for the performances, which take place at Glasgow's Royal Conservatoire and Edinburgh's Greyfriar's Kirk. The events are supported by the British Council and the Scottish Government.

Natural-born thriller

The Beechgrove Garden was filmed at sculpture garden Jupiter Artland last week. In the grounds of Bonnington House near Edinburgh, the garden will feature in the episode broadcast on BBC 2 on July 26.

Body parts

Organisers of Matthew Osborn's new play, Shopping Centre, on at the Gilded Balloon during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, are looking for male volunteers – the play calls for a motionless body to be on stage for the duration of the performance.
