Throughout August, children aged four and over and their families can get involved in free sports-inspired art events.
n Following its successful family day series, Tramway in Glasgow will host another dedicated to Jannis Kounellis on August 5. Participants will be able to explore an exhibition of sculpture and installations by the Greek artist and there will be drop-in workshops for families.

n Artists and performers will join cultural commentators and academics to debate issues inspired by the Edinburgh Festival in a series of talks titled Encounters.
