Studio 58: Women Artists In Glasgow Since World War II, Mackintosh Museum, Glasgow School of Art

Dr Sarah Lowndes spent three years putting this exhibition of post-war art together, and she has done wonders to fit the work of more than 50 artists into the Mackintosh building's gallery; but really this art – and this subject matter generally – deserves four times the space.

Perhaps this rich and interesting show will lead to something larger and more comprehensive.

As it is, this is a little jewel of a show, with art from an eclectic series of themes, styles, materials, sensibilities, politics and decades. So, lovely still lifes by Mary Armour can hang alongside a muddily unnerving painting, Daddy Resting, by Cathy Wilkes, while the intruiging repeated designs for textiles by Dorothy Smith from the 1940s can stand alongside a jutting metallic beak from Claire Barclay.
