■ Gardening dark comedy Allotment will be staged at the Macrobert in Stirling next week. This show takes place outdoors, with the actresses digging, planting and performing on top of a shed.

■ Young musicians are getting the chance to play the Usher Hall in Edinburgh in a series of concerts aimed at supporting emerging artists. Seven shows will feature acts such as Flercussion, Sax Ecosse and Miniature Dinosaurs.
