l SWG3 Gallery in Glasgow hosts a solo exhibition by British artist Owen Piper from September 15. The exhibition, titled the Quid, will feature Piper's paintings alongside an ambitious mix of sculptures and installations.

l FOLK group Session A9 will be playing venues across Scotland, including Mull, Stirling, Peebles and Edinburgh, over the next few weeks. Formed in 2001, the group have two albums and have been nominated for a Scottish Trad Music Award.
