l Canada's own prairie balladeer Scott Cook makes his first trip to Scotland this week, playing gigs at Leith Folk Club on Tuesday, The Crown Inn, Biggar, on Thursday and The Vagabond Social Club, Glasgow on Friday.

Cook's tours have taken him across Canada, the US and Asia and his latest album, Moonlit Rambles, has been likened to "a conversational bottle of Jack Daniel's being passed around a campfire".
