The Theatre Guild Glasgow will perform the musical adaptation of the film Footloose at Eastwood Park Theatre from October 2 to 6. The cast of 40 local residents have been rehearsing for six months and will be joined by a live band for the performances. The show is led by artistic director Alasdair Hawthorn and choreographed by Jonathan Parsons.

Majestic exhibition

The Diamond Jubilee 2012: The Queen And Clackmannanshire exhibition will run until October 6 at The Gallery, Gordon R McFarlane FBHI, Watchmaker & Jeweller, in Alloa. It has been created by Clackmannanshire Council Museum and Heritage Service to coincide with the celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's 60 years on the throne and her visits to Clackmannanshire.

Show should attract crowds

Magnetic North, in association with Platform, has produced a new play, Sex And God, which will tour Scotland from September 27 until October 26. The show, which is written by Linda McLean and directed by Nicholas Bone, will tour locations around the country as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival.

Talking art

The next in the series of ATLAS Arts: Talking Art series will take place on October 6 at Tigh na Sgire in Portree. It will feature Graham Fagen, the Glasgow-based artist and lecturer who works in a variety of mediums including installations, photography, sculpture, text and video.
