l THE Hebrides Ensemble is currently representing Scotland at a conference in Brussels which aims to establish a new body to promote new music to new audiences across Europe.

New:Aud, as the project has been abbreviated, brings together 31 contemporary music ensembles from 17 countries and will last for two years, sharing thinking on styles of presentation, interaction with concert-goers and the performance of new music for children and young people. The ensemble's artistic director William Conway joined colleagues from the London Sinfonietta and Manchester's Psappha Ensemble at the conference.
