Texan singer-songwriter Hugh Moffatt becomes the latest performer to succumb to the intimate atmosphere of the one of the smallest venues on the circuit, the Royal Oak in Edinburgh, when he appears in the Infirmary Street hostelry's basement room on Thursday February 20.

Moffatt, whose songs have been covered by Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Jerry Lee Lewis and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band to name but a few, is the brother of fellow singer-songwriter Katy Moffatt but is a far less frequent visitor to Scotland than his sister, adding to the Royal Oak date's novelty value.
