PAOLO Nutini today announced he is to play a one-off gig in Glasgow next month.

The Paisley singing sensation will take to the stage at the Barrowlands on Saturday March 29.

As reported by the Evening Times, Paolo is set to have a starring role at Radio 1's Big Weekend in May.

The heart-throb sang two songs at the BBC in Glasgow to launch the event, after Glasgow was named as this year's festival venue.

A statement posted on the singer's website today, said: "More UK dates to be announced soon."

In December, the 26-year-old revealed he is planning to release a new album, Caustic Love, in April.

It comes more than four years on from the release of his second record, Sunny Side Up.

Paolo will also play Dublin on Thursday March 20 and Bournemouth on Tuesday March 25.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday.
